Making Taxes Less Taxing

Making Taxes Less Taxing

There are thousands of taxes in the United States between federal, state and local governments—in particular, local government taxes make up around five thousand of them.

Each of these taxes require a tax ID in order to pay them correctly. At a first glance, this can look overwhelming since it seems like you may need thousands of these IDs if you have employees nationwide. Needing to identify which IDs are required can take employers an exhausting amount of time. That’s why we do the hard work for you.

Zeal identifies which tax IDs you need, alongside which ones share the same IDs, ensuring you don’t have to waste time reviewing every potential tax ID you need. If you have taxes that share an ID, we’ll group these together so you only need to handle one submission. What’s even better is that some local taxes can use a Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN) or other high-level state IDs, and Zeal will automatically fill these in. For example, Pennsylvania is a state that generally has complicated tax handling due to the amount of local taxes that are present—instead of handling these one-by-one, Zeal simply collects the IDs for the collection agencies that collect on behalf all of the local taxes, meaning employers have less IDs they need to worry about.

At Zeal, we strive to provide our partners with the best solutions when it comes to building their own payroll. If you’re interested in saving time and want to reduce the complexity of handling tax IDs, get in touch with us.
